Mine heart cares no more
For the things it used to care
Mine eyes cannot see
What the things it used to see
Mine ears hear
The foul sound of battle

No more the living, beating, compassionate heart
But the cold, stone one
Not one drop of emotion
Not one drop of mercy
Mercy for mine self, for others, for mine innocent victims
Yet there is one drop
Trapped between a crack in mine heart

It disappearing

But mine stone heart feels no yearning
