Frost Covered Hearts
I won't be on at all tomorrow, well, since it is CHRISTMAS!! So here's a parting gift! a Kikyo/Inuyasha oneshot. Sorry it's not Christmas themed (And don't worry. I layed off the angst, lol). It's PURE 100 percent canadia-I mean...fluff! Enjoy!
The familiar red through the white prinpricks. The priestess froze, looking back to the nearly single-file line of shrine maidens as they head up the steps. She lingered behind, quickly darting behind a pillar where she knew he was waiting.
"You shouldn't be here...if you are found-"
"No." He placed a finger to her lips. "I just... wanted to see you today..."
Kikyo gave him an unusual look. A cross between surprise and understanding.
It was strange for the stubborn half demon to be so straight forward with his thoughts...
She gently placed the hand from her mouth, intertwining his fingers with hers. "Why?"
Dodging her question for the moment, Inuyasha leaned forwards, wrapping his free arm around her shoulder. He'd noticed her shivering from the snow.
She gave him a hard, but concerned face. Kikyo dodged a look to the barely visible shrine above, hiding in the fog before turning back to the gold eyed hanyou.
"It's your birthday."
As if he just announced the end of the world, she gave him a quizzical look before her lips were claimed as his.
He pulled away and her chocolate eyes were replaced with amused realization.
"...my birthday...isn't for another two weeks, Inuyasha."
This recieved a cocky grin from the half-demon..before his face fell. "Heh heh...eh...really?"
