"Well..." Hermione said to Ginny, "another year gone by just like that." The girls sat down in an empty compartment towards the back of the train.
"Well we have the whole summer ahead of us. Why don't have some adventures this summers?" Ginny suggested.
A girl popped her head into the compartment doorway, who else but one of their best friends Luna LoveGood. Luna shut the compartment door and sat down next to Ginny.
"Hello Ginny, hello Hermione. So what are you girls doing this summer." She asked
them.
"Well Ginny and I just talking about plans for this summer."
"May I join you this summer?"
"You didn't even have to ask, Luna." Ginny cut in.
"Sounds Great!"
At that moment their compartment door opened. Three boys stood in front of them. None other than Draco Malfoy, and his two best friends Vincent Crabbe and Blaise Zabini.
"Malfoy," Hermione said as she stood up and glared at him.
"Granger," his smirk disappeared.
"What do you want?"
"What, I can't just say hello to you, Granger?"
"Malfoy, you of all people never just say hello to me? There's always an insult, or snide comment. Now what do you want
That was very rude of me, I know it's Malfoy but he normally starts with an insult or snide comment Hermione thought to herself.
"Fine, Granger! I didn't know trying to be a gentleman around you was a crime now!"
Ginny stood up behind Hermione and glared at Zabini and Crabbe. Draco and Hermione were just staring at eachother neither of them was breaking eye contact.
I never noticed how her eyes sparkle. His face went blank at he got lost in thought still staring at Hermione. Wait a second hat the am I thinking! She is a mudblood and she hates me. He thought to himself
"Hello!" she yelled, snapping him out of his gaze.
"What?"
"So what do you want?" she asked.
"Come with me, Crabbe, Blaise, entertain those two, I have something to talk to you about" he pointed to Ginny and Luna as they
sat down, then grabbed by the arm and pulled her down the train until they found an empty compartment. He pulled her in and let go of her. Her arms was red from his grip.
"Now, what was so important that you need to pull me away from my friends?"
"Here."
He handed her a small booklet.
"What is it?"
"It's a booklet from professor McGonagall; it's got something really important
in it."
"How would you know? Did you look?"
"No," he replied
"Oh, okay. Thank you Draco."
"Yeah, yeah, let's go back to your compartment before Crabbe and Zabini kill Luna Looneybin and Weasel."
"If anything happened, Luna and Ginny would be the ones to do it not your friends."
"In your dreams, Granger," he smirked and walked away from her to head back to the compartment.
They finally reached the compartment and when they walked in Blaise was on the floor holding the side of his face, almost in tears and Crabbe was sitting in the seat holding his thighs and groin. Ginny was laughing and Luna was standing there without a hair out of place.
She looked them right in the eye with a straight face and said, "Crabbe tried to…Well, I don't actually know what he was going to do, so I slapped him…"
"More like punched him, Luna," Ginny cut in.
She continued, "Then Blaise tried to hit me and Ginny kicked him in the...well I don't really think I need to tell you where she kicked him." Hermione held back her laughter with Draco standing right next to her.
She turned to Malfoy and said, "I told you so!"
"Oh shut up it." he said.
The two boys stood and hobbled out.
The girls settled down for a while then started talking about their year at Hogwarts. "Hey, why don't we go find Harry and Ron?" Ginny suggested
"Good idea," Luna stood up.
Hermione was still sitting down looking down at her booklet.
"Are you coming?"
"Go ahead I'll meet you guys later."
"Okay" the girls walked away to go find Harry and Ron.
