Hey, I challenged myself to make boxes sound powerful. It worked. Kinda. Sorta. Anyway, this is my admittedly weak attempt at a reflective oneshot. Do not even ask me why I use the Box Ghost so much.

The Power of Boxes

I, the Box Ghost, floated along, thinking and reflecting.

Now, you know that I do not do this very much. Usually I use my near-endless existence to inspire fear in the hearts of humans. I do not spend much time thinking, let alone reflecting.

You see, by myself, and only by myself, I sometimes admit that I am not the most powerful of ghosts. Never to any others, but only to myself.

But boxes, the concept of boxes, that is a powerful concept.

I am the manifestation of that concept. It is a weak concept, but it could manifest. It is the smallest concept to manifest on it's own. Only one other ghost is as modern as boxes, Technus, but there are so many types of technology it makes up for the lack of age.

These compare to most other ghosts, which have ancient, diverse concepts. Take Clockwork, the manifestation of time. There is no beginning to the concept of time. It has been around for thousands and thousands of years. There is no end, nor is there a beginning, for the concepts pf 'beginning' and 'end' could be seen as time concepts themselves.

Then there is Skulker, manifestation of hunting. That concept has been around for millions of years. Humans hunt. Leopards hunt. Even the T-Rex hunted, so long ago. There was barely a beginning to that, either.

Or Desiree, the manifestation of wishes and desire. That had also been around for thousands of years. At it's most primitive, it was the desire to survive. Then to multiply. Until humans made it more complex, wishing for all kinds of things.

Or even my beloved Lunch Lady (Do you know how much it pained me to put that in?). Younger than many of the others, she is still a diverse concept. She manifested.

I could name more, too: Walker, manifestation of consequences; Spectra, manifestation of misery; Vortex, manifestation of weather; Ember, manifestation of music; Johnny Thirteen and his Shadow, co-manifestations of bad luck; the Fright Knight, manifestation of Halloween and fear; Youngblood, manifested representative of the young; Undergrowth, manifestation of plant life; Ghost Writer, manifestation of scribes, writing, authors, and anything of that sort; I could go on, but we would be here from now until next year.

So many, more powerful, yet less.

My concept is strongest. Beware!
