A sly grin spread out on Candice's lips when she noticed the dazed look Chimera had on her face. Leaning in close, Candice immediately knew what...or who...Chimera was thinking about.

"You're thinking about that special someone again, aren't you?" She asked, causing Chimera to break out of her hypnotic-like trance. The two girls were sitting together on top of Phantom's Castle, watching the sunset together. The first part of the War Games had just ended, and Ginta's team came out victorious. However, neither Candice or Chimera were focusing on that right now.

"W-W-What are you talking about? I told you...I don't love anyone but Marco..." Chimera snapped in a nervous tone. For some reason, she was being awfully calm that day. Candice smirked and playfully slapped her friend in the back of the head. "C'MON, TELL ME! TELL ME WHO YOU LIKE! I KNOW YOU GOT OVER MARCO!!" She exclaimed, practically giddy with excitement. Blushing from behind her skull-like mask, Chimera muttered, "But...I can't...I'm supposed to love Marco..."

"Oh, get over it!" Candice snapped furiously, "I know he loved you and was gonna be your husband, but Marco's dead! You got to get over it and move on! And I'm sure you've fallen in love with someone else, especially since you got all nervous when I asked about it! JUST TELL ME WHO YOU LOVE ALREADY!!!"

"It's Dorothy." Chimera muttered in a hushed tone.

Candice blinked a few times; she had been completely caught off guard by Chimera's statement. She had really expected Chimera to have been interested in Peta or Halloween or something; at least it wasn't her darling Phantom, though. Suddenly, Candice realized something else.

"ISN'T SHE THAT PINK-HAIRED BITCH ON TEAM MAR? WHY...HOW...WHEN...ARGH! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING, FALLING IN LOVE WITH HER OF ALL PEOPLE?" Candice screamed, so loudly that it almost shook the ground beneath her feet.

"I-I'm sorry..." Chimera whimpered; she was seriously being out of character that day. Letting out a heavy sigh, Candice closed her eyes in defeat. After a few seconds, Candice opened her eyes again and asked, "...How long?"

"About a week." Chimera replied while miserably drawing a circle on the ground with her finger, "I didn't really understand it all myself until two days ago, when I finally came to the realization that I love her..." Candice really couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"Do you know how terrible this is? Your...love...for her could cause us all to lose this battle, and you know we can't afford to lose at this point!" screeched Candice. Chimera sighed and lifted herself up off the ground.

"I'm outta here..." she muttered before turning around and warping off to god-knows-where. Candice just stood there for a good two minutes before letting out a string of curses under her breath.

"I really can't believe her. Falling in love with another woman, of all things..." Unable to do anything more at the moment, Candice headed back into the castle to indulge herself in Phantom's underwear drawer...
