All I want for Christmas

A TR oneshot.

Jill sat on her bed, surrounded by presents, wrapping paper and one bored husband. She was busy wrapping presents, and laughing as she finished wrapping Katie's present.

"What do you want for Christmas?" Gordon asked, remembering that he'd got everyone else's present, but hers.

"Erm… I really don't know. I've got everything right here" Jill replied, placing Katie's present in the carrier bag.

"Oh, Ok then, I erm… will have to think of something then . Just don't blame me if I get it wrong!" Gordon said, laughing and passing Jill Tom's present.

"Remind me why you can't wrap presents?" Jill asked, asking herself why she had wrapped all the presents, and Gordon just sat there, watching.

"Erm, well, Dr Weatherill, I have the most mystifying symptoms, where I get covered in sellotape and more wrapping paper ends up on the floor than on the actual presents. What's the diagnosis??" Gordon asked, picking up a pillow, in case Jill cheekily threw anything.

"Well, I am a bit stuck, you see, I'd have to erm… investigate" Jill said, laughing as Gordon held the pillow up, avoiding anything that Jill may throw.

"I know what I want. More than anything." She said, struggling to find the end of the roll of sellotape.

"What's that darling?" Gordon asked, now becoming curious.

"Well, All I want for Christmas is you. Like I said, I have everything I could ever ask for right here. That's all I want for Christmas" Jill said, smiling as she finally found the end, and could carry with wrapping Tom's present.

"Well then, that's sorted then. Mean's I won't have to go Christmas shopping. The way everyone crowds onto the high street you'd think the world's going to end!" Gordon stated, laughing and narrowly avoiding the roll of sellotape, which Jill had cheekily thrown his way. In his defence he threw it back.

"Have I ever told you how much I loved you?" He asked, once more avoiding the roll of sellotape.

"All the time but I'm not going to stop you"

"I love you"

"Didn't quite catch that. Say it slower"

"I… Love… you"

"Good. Cause I love you!"

"And you know what. I don't want anything this year either. Like you so well put it I have everything right here. I have you, and I have the children"

There moment was interrupted by Katie, who ran into the room, shouting and laughing.

"Dad, Jill… It's snowing!!!" Katie shouted, before waiting nervously for their response, hoping it was the right one,

"Ok, make sure you wrap up warm. We'll some out in a minute" Gordon said, but Katie was gone, running into her room to dig out her shoes and coat, getting Tom to do the same.

"Come on.. I'll help you to tidy up, then we're going to go outside. Ok?"

"You're the boss. Look I'll hide the presents, and we'll go. Tidy up later eh?"

"Ok."

After that they went out of the room, to be met by three smiling children, who were now soaked through, but happy nonetheless. Perfect.
