AN: Just another idea for a Xander/Madison story that takes place during Broken Spell part 2.

Xander was walking by the doorway that overlooked the park outside of the store when two people standing under the tree caught his attention, it wasn't unusual for people to be near or under it, but what caught his attention was who they were.

It was Madison and that new guy Nick; from where he was he could see them both perfectly. Madison had a smile on her face the kind she was used when she was feeling tongue tied and awkward.

Nick had only been in Briarwood a short time and already he had intrigued Madison, Xander couldn't figure out why, Nick didn't even want to stay and be a ranger. Why was he feeling hot under the collar?

Maybe because he had a big time crush on Madison and it extended from when they were fourteen.

>>>>>>>>

He and Madison had just turned fourteen along with her twin sister Vida, Chip was three weeks away from his fourteenth birthday, Xander's jaw dropped; "Vida you want to play truth or dare?"

She gave a big smile, "Why not are you chicken?"

Madison broke in, "Come on sis if he doesn't want to play…"

"I'll play the game." He replied; "If Madison and Chip will too."

Madison and Chip looked at each other, "We're in." They said together.

Chip spined the bottle and as it came to a stop in front of Xander, "Truth or dare?" Vida asked.

This was now a matter of pride; he wouldn't let Vida get a laugh from his expense. "I say dare."

"Ok you have to kiss me or Madison."

"Far out!" Chip said.

Madison blushed and giggled, "Pick one Xander."

Madison had been sitting right next to him and he leaned in and gave her a kiss, Madison returned it and he could swear he could feel a jolt, as they pulled away he could see Vida smirking and quickly leaned over and kissed her. It was worth it to see the stunned look on her face.

It was the last time Vida ever suggested the game Truth or Dare but Xander had wished he had chosen truth and told Madison he liked her.

"Xander?" Madison's voice brought him back to reality.

"Oh hey Maddy so what's new?"

"I tried to talk Nick into staying but nothing."

"I'm sorry." He replied, but deep down some part of him was insanely glad for that. It meant for the time being he could forget about this weird feeling he had had when he saw them together. He knew what it was and he didn't like it.

It was jealousy.
