"The Wrong Person"

---

"You must have the wrong person Rose," the ebony hedgehog scoffed and turned away from the female pink hedgehog.

Tears formed in her eyes; she couldn't believe this was happening. She poured out all her love to him, only to be rejected.

"Besides, shouldn't you be chasing after Sonic…like you always do," he said coolly, swiftly walking away from Amy Rose.

Shadow had to admit that he felt partially bad for treating her like this, but it was for his own good. He knew she was probably still in love with Sonic anyways. He knew that he wasn't supposed to feel the emotion of love anyways. He knew…it just wasn't meant to be. The wind blew coolly, blowing through the ends at Amy's red and white dress. The wind blew through Shadow's black and red spines, and through Amy's pink spines. Night was coming shortly, heartbreak was gradually crumbling.

Amy truly wanted to be with him. She was over Sonic; she wanted him, and only him. Shadow stopped walking away from the poor, unfortunate girl, his ear was perked. He heard something, something that he didn't want to hear, and something that was all too familiar to him. He heard her sobbing, uncontrollably. He gradually turned around, looking down at her as her knees buckled down. She broke down, crying into her hands as her hands were buried in her face.

"Why do you do this to me?" She wailed, crying harder. She felt pathetic, embarrassed, and like a little girl.

She wanted to be treated like an adult, but here she was, crying her eyes out, like a little girl. Big girls don't cry. It took awhile, but she managed to pull herself together and stopped crying. Shadow felt partially bad for her; he didn't enjoy seeing her cry, but there was nothing he could do to help her.

Amy Rose slowly stood up to her feet, wiping the remaining tears from her eyes. Her emerald green eyes glared into his cold, heartless, uncaring, but beautiful and alluring red ruby eyes.

"Amy…" Shadow began, searching for words to say.

Amy Rose, unlucky at finding love, wiped her eyes once more.

"Sorry…thought you were Sonic," she lied, "wrong person," she finished meekly.

She ran off, never looking back at him. Had no intention of knowing where she was running to, she didn't care. She just wanted to go off from him, ignored the ache in her heart, and kept running.

The "wrong" person was the right person to her…she couldn't explain it, but he's the wrong person but right at the same time. As this experience may knocked her down now, she'll know she'll pick herself up from rejection, like she always does, and find the wrong person once again.

The End
