For One Night

For one night, I was in your arms

For one night, I fell for your charms

For one night, I danced with you

For one night, I felt love was true

For one night, you swept me across the floor

For one night, I had all and then more

For one night, you touched my hand

For one night, I was Queen of the Land

Now that night has come and gone

It was night but now it's dawn

As I dress for another day, hear the words I want to say:

"If we will never meet again, remember this now and then.

I only want to be your wife, I only want to give YOU my life. However,

if this moment never comes to be, then may I ask this request? Don't forget me."

Prepared to put on a mask, my love

You wear your robe, while I wear my glove

Today is our final goodbye, yet not one tear must we cry

For we know if we love one another, then there shall be...NO OTHER.
