It had ironically only been a month since Lou Pickles' death when his widow, Lulu Pickles also passed away. On a cold mourning in late November, the Yucaipa Retirement Home has informed the families of Lulu that she had suffered a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital.

The news came as a shock to everyone who rushed to the hospital. However, it was too late; Lulu was no more. She had lived a total of eighty-nine years and her death was tragic for her loved ones.

About a week after Lulu's death, was the burial at the Yucaipa Cemetery where people were giving their condolences.

Stu Pickles walked up to the casket first to give his speech.

"Lulu" said Stu, "you were always a great stepmother and I'll miss you."

After Stu finished, his brother, Drew Pickles came up.

"Oh, Lulu" said Drew, "I was honored to have you as a stepmother. Rest in peace."

Following Drew's condolences, Mariam Pickles came up to give hers.

"Lulu, sweet Lulu" said Mariam, "it was great having you as a sister-in-law. And it always warmed my heart to see how happy you made Lou."

Mariam finished her speech when Didi Pickles came up.

"Oh, Lulu" said Didi, "you were always so great with everyone, especially Lou and the kids. I'll miss you."

As soon as Didi was finished Tommy, Dil, and Angelica Pickles walked up to the casket, each with a flower in hand. Angelica gave her speech first.

"Grandma Lulu" said Angelica, "you've always been there for me when I needed you. I remember when I went through my pregnancy and how you helped stand up for me in the mist of all the drama. I only wish you could see the day I'm truly ready to have a family of my own and give you great grand kids."

Angelica placed her flower on the casket and then Dil came up.

"Grandma Lulu" said Dil, "I always had so much fun being around you and Grandpa Lou. I remember when you used to bring me and my brother home gifts from you trips around the World. But in the end, I was just happy you were there."

Dil placed his flower on the casket when Tommy came up. He looked at the casket for a few seconds before speaking.

"We'll never forget you, Grandma Lulu" said Tommy, placing the flower on the casket.

A few minutes later, the casket was lowered into the ground right alongside Lou's grave and the funeral came to an end. Everyone was sad that Lulu was gone but they also knew that she'd never be forgotten. And in spite of her death, they all knew that she lived a very good and happy life which they were glad to share.

The End
