It's been almost three months since The Accident (two months, three weeks, and two days, but Luke's not counting). Almost three months since Noah has said a word to Luke without bit or sorrow.
The two are coming back from Noah's appointment with Dr. Reid and if that isn't enough to electrify the air with tension, the fact that Noah tripped twice on the way out of the hospital definitely is. Luke is milliseconds away from opening his mouth to offer to help when the brunet snaps at him.
"God Luke, would it kill you to stop trying to help for one second?" The blonde's hands are frozen mid-motion, poised to help Noah untangle himself from the chord he was caught in. The tension returns, this time joined by something else entirely. Luke swallows his words, his heartbeat quickening, face flushing from embarrassment and repressed desire.
And then, in an instant, their hips crash violently together in a way that seems less passionate and more abusive. Noah grabs Luke by the shoulders, knowing the blonde's body even blinded, and forces him still. Luke responds in kind, hands twining themselves in the brunet's hair, grasping it until it hurts and soon they are moving, slamming against walls, knocking books and pillows and god knows what else onto the ground.
Noah grabs Luke by his tie, yanking it off, ripping his collar in the process, but the blonde is too busy unbuckling Noah's belt to notice. Their lips meet again as they sink to the floor, shedding clothes as they fall. The sex is violent, angry, and fantastic and after they finish, laying heaving on the floor of the living room, they almost forget why they were angry in the first place. Almost.
However, if Noah has learned anything in his twenty-two years, it is that life is a bitch and as he feels himself drifting off to sleep, he turns his head to catch a glimpse of Luke's face before remembering, oh yeah, he's fucking blind. He feels Luke's hand reach out for his, but he turns away, letting the cold, heavy sensation of loneliness seep into his bones. It is all he will feel for a long time to come.
