This song 'Already Over' by RED inspired me to write this songfic. I know they made a music video of this song, but I wanted to do my version.
This is not my song, I just added words to help describe what the song means.
It's Already Over
A man is running in a dark alley, desperately trying to get away from his sins. He turns a corner and sees a faint light up ahead. He looks back down the alley to see his sin, a black mass of his past sins with tentacles reacting out for him. In fear, he bolts for the light.
'You never go,
you're always her (suffocating me),
under my skin,
I cannot run away,
fading slowly…'
Tentacles start reaching for him, grabbing his arms and legs. He yanks hard to get away and funs faster.
'I'd give it all to you,
letting go of me,
reaching as I fall,
I know it's already over.
Nothing left to lose,
loving you again,
I know it's already over, already over now.'
The tentacles try again and try to grab the man.
'My best defense, running from you,
I can't resist, take all you want from me,
breaking slowly…'
The tentacles grab the man more sternly and slow the man down. The man begins flailing, trying to get away. The light seems so close.
'I'd give it all to you,
letting go of me,
reaching as I fall,
I know it's already over now.
Nothing left to lose,
loving you again,
I know it's already over, already over now!'
The sins finally catch up to him, swallowing him up. The man reaches out a hand, crying for His name.
'You're all I'm reaching for,
it's already over,
all I'm reaching for!
It's already over now!'
His sins have finally consumed him, taking over. But the man gave his last simple prayer…
'I'd give it all to you,
I offer up my soul,
it's already over, already over now!'
Then a bright light erupts from within the mass of sin, revealing the man covered in white flames. He steps out and runs to the light, leaving his sins burning.
'Give it all to you,
letting go of me,
reaching as I fall,
I know it's already over now.
Nothing left to lose,
loving you again!
I know it's already over now!

I know it's already over, already over.'
The man walks in to the light and sees Jesus standing with his friends and family. Jesus opens his arms and the man wraps his arms around his Savior. And Jesus gently whispers, "You're mine now."
