Author's notes: I wrote this about two days after my grandmother's funeral. So naturally it contains death in some form. After I finished it I thought it sounded a lot like Tara's death so that is why it's under BTVS.
You left me to face the world alone. Without your calming presence things just fell apart.
Memories of you are all around here. From the lamp you used to turn on every night to the small crumbs you left on the kitchen table from your breakfast.
A world without your charming smile seems less bright to me. But still the world moves on as if you never left.
There are times you walk through the door in my mind and embrace me tightly and speak so fondly of our love for each other.
And so with those thoughts echoing in my mind I move on slowly.
And life continues.
