Warnings/Summary: Season 5 spoiler for Abandon All Hope. Ellen and Jo await the Hellhounds.
The Winchesters had gone. Left the Harvelles alone in the dark.
Somewhere along the way, Ellen's glass-fragile baby girl had been forged anew. Jo had become tempered steel – resilient, strong; sharp-edged like her mother. Unbreakable.
Shining so bright that Ellen's swelling pride could almost soothe the grief that threatened to stop her heart at the same time as Jo's.
Hands slippery with Jo's blood intertwined around the instrument of their own destruction. A mother ready to the bitter end to do whatever was necessary for her daughter, and in doing so, save the world.
Sometimes, love really does conquer all.
