Surprise Maka scowled while gazing out the window, she groans loudly enough to let Soul know she's whining. Soul sighs and turns the heat down on the food simmering in the pan. "Maka, pouting isn't going to change anything.." Maka scoffs and crosses her arms loosely, she returns to glaring out the window, as if wishing it would blow up. Soul fiddles with the stove a moment longer and the retreats to the couch and sits next to Maka. He sat across from her and tried to lock eyes with her. "Maka.." She glances at him quickly and then back out the window. "What Soul..?" After a few moments of silence Maka looks up curiously to see Soul repressing a sly smile, she questions him with her angry eyes. "This is so like you, stubborn as always." Maka sat up instantaneously and glared darts at him. "Whats that supposed to mean? Soul rests his head against his arm, leaning against the couch. "Its not like its a bad thing, but its hilarious to watch." She squinted her eyes and began, "Makaaa…..cho.." Soul quickly grabbed her arm before she hit him over the head. "Hey! Like I said its not a bad things it's actually quite cu,"Blair barges in, interrupting Soul mid-sentence, he sighs but plays it off. "Did I interrupt something?" Blair asked, hinting at her true meaning. Soul shook his head as he walked by her, he started to stir the contents of the pan. Blair shrugs and walks over to the bedroom, Soul continued to cook, not aware of the approaching Maka. She wrapped her arms around his waist and hugged him gently. Soul smiled to himself, a prominent blush resided on his face now. Maka whispered," Im good, Im just let down at the moment, but I'll be alright." Soul was quiet for a little while and managed to conjure up a sociable sentence. "Okay." Soul serves up their food, a combination of chicken and an assortment of green veggies. The first hald of their dinner was eerily silent, with the occasional sound of silverware colliding with the plates. "Hey Soul..?" Maka said after swallowing a bit and washing it down with a drink of water. Soul slowly looked up from his frostbitten dinner to Maka's questionable gaze. A surprisingly playful gaze. Maka continues,"You're acting weird, not at all like yourself." Soul shrugged and continued to pick at his food. Maka sighed and rolled her eyes, she got up and ambled over to the kitchen, she washed her dishes and started on the dirty ones in the sink, Soul scraped his plate off in the trash and put his dish in the sink, he snatched a cloth off of the counter and started drying the dishes she had washed. He stated abruptly."I love you Maka."
