Sunil glared at Captain Cuddles and Pepper. He was very jealous that the Captain took Pepper away from him. He couldn't take anymore of the nice compliments, hugs, and even kisses! He walked up the Captain and Pepper.
"Listen here,Captain," Sunil said. "Pepper is my girl! You just stay away from her."
"There is one way to find out who gets Pepper," Captain Cuddles said. "Fighting."
Sunil thought about this. He would never fight unless it's an emergency, like a loose cobra or something. But the only way to get Pepper was to fight, so he basically had no choice. He said, "It is on!"
"Pepper, sit." Captain Cuddles said to Pepper. Scared, Pepper sat down.
Pepper watched as the two of them fought. Well, they really didn't fight. It was more of yelling at each other with a few kicks and punches. In other words, it was a pretty choppy fight.
As time passed, the fight grew worse. It was so bad that Pepper actually started to cry very softly for two reasons: One: She was scared that Sunil would get hurt. Two: She was afraid that they would somehow accidentally hurt her. Pepper eventually grew nervous, which caused her spray to emit from her tail.
Captain Cuddles immediately noticed the smell, which knocked him out and made him unconscience. Sunil noticed the smell too, and cringed. He knew the smell was coming from Pepper. He noticed that Pepper wasn't where she was sitting.
Meanwhile in the fire hydrant where Pepper was hiding…..(Don't tell Sunil.)
Pepper cried. She was scared that Sunil was badly hurt. She wished Captain Cuddles and Sunil thought of a different way to fight for, which to her was completely ridiculous.
"Pepper?"
Pepper jumped and saw Sunil, right in front of her. "Are you okay?" Sunil asked. "Yeah."
Sunil came closer to Pepper. "The fight scared you, didn't it?" Pepper nodded. "Well, it won't happen again. I promise." "But at least you won!" Pepper said. "No, Pepper," Sunil said. "I didn't defeat Captain Cuddles, you did." "Me? How?"
Sunil's face turned a dark shade of red. He didn't know how to tell Pepper. "Um, the smell." He said.
"Oh."
"If you didn't spray," Sunil said. "Or better yet, if you weren't sad, I probably wouldn't be here right now. But now, Pepper, everything is okay. You're safe with me." Pepper smiled and her happy scent came out. "Sunil?" Pepper asked. "Yes?" Will the captain be okay?" Sunil smiled. "He'll be fine. We'll just tell everyone that he fell asleep." Sunil said. The two of them smiled again, and went to sleep.
From now on, Pepper stayed by Sunil. To her, Sunil was her real life guardian angel.
