Five men looked up, startled, as tires screeched and doors slammed. Chris Larabee strode into the office, his cruel, green-eyed glare chilling them to the bone. Each presumed the worst and stared as Chris went straight to their coffee maker and turned it up. He guzzled from the hot pot as his companion entered, shaking his head.

"Rough mornin'?"

"Coffee maker's broke."

"Chris," Nathan coaxed gently, "you really should put that down."

Chris glared.

"You're burning yourself."

Chris lifted his mouth just enough to growl.

Nathan shrank back.

"Hum, guys," JD pointed out, "that was the last of our coffee."

"Get to the store. Now."
