A/N: First ever Sky High story. Saw it and this pairing just jumped out at me. Hope you enjoy it.
Will knew it was wrong to be hovering just outside Warren's window, watching the older teen sleep but he couldn't help it. It had become habit after Homecoming his freshman year and he had continued since then, keeping it his secret. He didn't think any of his friends would understand the compulsion he had to make sure Warren was safe, and the other teen certainly wouldn't appreciate it.
Sighing in frustration he moved a little closer to the window, glad he had fine tuned his flight over the past two years. It wouldn't do to crash through Warren's window. Explaining that would be a hell he could do without. He settled lightly on the small edge that ran just under Warren's window.
The moon was full, gilding the world in silver. Warren's curtains were open and silver light streamed over the teen. The red streaks in his hair were bleached pale and highlighted the fine lines of the muscles in his arms. Over the past two years he and Warren had gotten closer than he ever thought possible. And now he wanted more.
Warren shifted in his sleep and the blankets slid down his back, revealing tan skin. His shirt had gotten twisted up around his chest showing much of his back, the long muscles covered by flawless skin.
Will rested his head against the cool glass, unable to look away from his friend. He wanted to run his hands over every inch of skin he could see and everything he couldn't. He wanted to trace the flame tattoos on Warren's wrists with his tongue, until he could do it with his eyes closed. And that scared him.
He'd never even thought about being in a relationship with another male so the thought of being more then friends with Warren had scared him at the beginning. But as they'd spent more time together, usually with Warren rolling his eyes, Will had come to understand more about the older teen.
While he'd never profess to completely understanding the older teen he had gained some insight into Warren Peace. He spoke Mandarin because he's mother had told him he needed to learn a second language and he'd wanted something challenging. Warren's deep love for the classic literature stemmed from his need for honor in the everyday world. Warren had more honor then anyone Will knew. Yes, it had a tendency to be a little warped, but he could always trust the older teen to help him.
He wasn't sure when his simple liking for Warren had changed, from simple friendship to something deeper. It had been gradual, of that he was certain. One day, halfway sophomore year after Save the Citizen Warren had grinned at him, dark eyes burning with a feral light. It was that moment that Will realized he wanted Warren. A year and a half later and no one knew. And that was the way he wanted it.
There were times he'd thought about telling Warren, but after several minutes of weighing the decision he would decide it was for the best if the older teen never found out. So for the past year and a half he'd kept his feelings a secret, thinking
A vibration against his leg caught his attention and he pulled his phone from his pocket. The clock showed the time to be 12:55. Time for him to go home if he doesn't want to be a complete zombie at school tomorrow. He rested his hand against the glass, dark eyes sad. "Love you."
Will left so fast he missed the soft smile that curled Warren's lips and the one word he says in his sleep.
Will.
