Prologue:
Blood seeped through clawed fingers as red slatted eyes faded slowly back to blue. Naruto fell to his knees among the bodies of both enemies and fallen friends. Many of his friends had been cut down in the process of his rescue, and it wasn't until the last of his friends had fallen that he was able to escape his restraints with Kyuubi's help.
As his eyes took in the destruction that he and Kyuubi had unleashed when he had borrowed the fox's power. Never before had this much chakra been released, the seal should have held back the brunt of it, that was its purpose after all. Something was off, he felt the fox writhing and twisting in his mind and body, it was trying to escape again.
Naruto finally took notice to the heat that was radiating out of his stomach, warily he lifted his shirt and his mind went blank when he saw…nothing…the seal was gone, completely disappeared. He was vaguely aware of a whisper in the back of his head as Kyuubi tried to coax him into releasing his hold on his power. 'You can be free,' it whispered, 'finally be free of me, just let go, let me be free and we can go our separate ways.'
Naruto let this thought sink in before shaking his head to rid himself of the idea, he was the only thing left standing in the way of Kyuubi's escape and reek havoc on his village and all of the people inside. 'Boy why do you care so much about them? These are the people that have treated you like dirt, a demon yourself, ever since the day I was sealed inside you. Why should you protect them?' the Fox had now resorted to screaming in the 13-year-old's head. 'Because if I let you go then I will be no better than what they thought of me all this time, they would have been right.' he pushed the fox back with all of the strength he had left in his body and slowly drifted out of consciousness his last thought being, 'I cannot let them be right.'

Sorry it is so very short but it was just the prologue and there was not much else to say. I promise that it will get better as time goes on.
