"I'm home, mom." Kumori announced as she ran in the front door. Kumori was a tall and
skinny fifteen-year-old girl with black hair. She would be the exact image of her mother at that
age, had she brown eyes instead of yellow-gold, like her father's.
Kumori walked into the family room.
"Mom?" She asked. Kumori ran through the house. "Mom! Dad! Where are you?" She
called.
She sat on the floor in the kitchen, leaning against the refrigerator. "Why would mom
take off like that without leaving a note?" She sighed. "They're so weird about everything. No,
Kumori, don't go into the well house, you might fall in. No, Kumori, don't snoop in your father's
room, there's nothing for you in there." She mocked, rising. "What do they have to hide?"
Kumori walked into her room and pulled on a more comfortable outfit (A black polo,
green tie, and blue jeans, to be exact), and ran to her mother and father's room. Feeling reckless
as usual (which her mother told her was from her father's side of the family), she picked the lock
to her mother's closet, pushed the clothes away, and looked behind them.
There was, first of all, an old- looking sword (Kumori started giggling at the fact that
there was a tattered sword stuffed into her mother's closet), an empty quiver of arrows, a bow
("Well, I guess mom used to go hunting… how unlike her") and an old locket. Kumori
picked it up and looked inside.
On one side, a picture of her mother's teenage face stared up at her. On the other was a
young man with white-ish hair, dog ears, and yellow eyes. Her father, InuYasha.
Thinking that there was more to this than her parents let on, Kumori ran outside to the
next stop; the well house.
Sliding the old doors open with some difficulty, she ran to the dark well. Suddenly, it was
as if a huge wind had picked up. Kumori fell inside.
"No! Mom! Dad!" She yelled. A blue light engulfed her, and she hit the bottom.
"What was that?" She wondered. Kumori saw a ladder and climbed up it.
It was dark when she reached the top of the well and climbed out. Kumori, in wonder, fell
to the ground.
"Wasn't it just daytime? Where's the well house? Where's the house? Kumori said,
shocked.
"Kumori?"
She looked up into the face of a guy with long black hair and sapphire-colored eyes. He
looked like he was about seventeen years old, but it was hard to tell.
"Kuro?"
