Disclaimer: *sigh* i wish i owned it...but i dont...

Anzu looked up from her book as she heard sirens in front of her house. She looked over to the window and saw lights flashing. "Oh no. Please, God don't let this be!" she muttered to her self, terrified. She ran down the stairs, and slammed the door open before anyone could knock She saw a cop that looked both surprised and filled with pity.

"Are you Miss. Mazaki?" the cop asked not looking her in the eyes, not wanting to see the sorrow that he has seen so many times.

"Y-yes…I am," she said trying to stop her voice from cracking, but she didn't succeed.

He finally looked up into her eyes that were gleaming with the tears she was holding back. "I'm sorry miss. You're mother was driving drunk, and ended up crashing into a poll. And I'm terribly sorry to tell you that-"

He was cut off by Anzu, "She died didn't she?! Just like my father! Isn't there at least one decent person in this house?!"

"I'm sorry miss," he went back to his cruiser got in and left, Tohru crying at her doorstep.

Anzu got up shutting the door closed. She walked up the stairs and stepped into the bathroom, she looked at her self in the mirror. Her face flushed and tear stained, with hair sticking to her cheeks. She started crying again. 'Why did this have to happen?! Both my parents…dead!' She thought back to how her cousins, uncles…and grandfathers died in the war, her father dieing the same way her mother did. How her sisters died from lung cancer, grandmothers dieing of old age…and the rest of her family committing suicide for some reason that was only known by them.

She walked out of the bathroom and looked over to her mother's room. Slowly she walked into it, turning the lights on, and looked at her mothers stuff and some of the things of her dads that they kept in there. Walking in, she grabbed the picture of her parents hugging her on her 15th birthday, last year. Lying down on the bed she hugged the picture close to her chest, slowly falling into the deep sleeps of the night…

The next mourning she woke up to the sound of her alarm clock in the other room. Groaning at the thought of going to school, she got up and saw dark blue covers over her, then realized she was in her mother's room. Anzu suddenly remembered the events of the night before. Anzu walked up to place the picture she had in her hands back on the dresser, trying to fight back the tears, she went to her room and shut of the alarm.

Anzu walked into the bathroom, turning the shower on as hot as she could handle, then she removed her clothing and stepped in.
