One glance
One glance that was all it took. One glance at his internet screen to know he had known her the entire time.
Ichigo Kurosaki was 14 years old with bold orange hair, brown eyes, two little sisters and a dad. After a long day at school, his assignment had been made quite clear. He was to search through old documents of a so called Kuchiki family that was noble many years ago. As he slumped into his desk chair he grabbed out a pen and a piece of paper. He turned on his computer screen and began his search.
Not 30 minutes into his search he found a link that intrigued him, and as the screen slowly opened with the link it only took Ichigo one glance to know he knew this person. He stared at the old picture until finally scrolling down.
"Kuchiki families adoptive sister,Rukia Kuchiki,-"
It took Ichigo a few seconds to process the last words on the head line.
"-dead"
Ichigo went over the article so many times he lost count. He couldn't believe that there right on the screen, a photo of a woman he could've sworn he knew. Short and petite with pale skin, dark hair in layers with a strand in the middle of her face, with eyes that to Ichigos surprise looked violet. But the most interesting thing was that it was impossible for him to know her-because the newspaper was from went over it again and again and ended up writing as much as he could about this "Rukia Kuchiki" he seemed to know so well. When he called down to dinner by his little sister shut off his computer but not before looking out the window to see what looked like something or someone on a telephone pole far in the as Yuzu called again Ichigo shrugged it off and went to eat.
Ichigo Kurosaki turned off his computer that day and never saw that link mentioned Rukia in his report as one of the many relatives of the Kuchiki after that he never remembered her afterwards.
For Ichigo would experience a big surprise the following year during the night, that would change him forever.
"Hey if death isn't really the end, then that may not have been the first time we met. Maybe we've been linked together for much longer. I can't say for sure but I think that once a bond is formed it never disappears"-Ichigo Kurosaki
