Forever in his Debt

Danny is thinking about how close he came to losing Grace, but thanks to Steve he won't have to worry for a long time. He's going to be forever in his debt.

I would have had this done last week after the episode ended, but my sister was visiting us from California and with my little sister just having her baby...I was a little preoccupied. So I thought I'd get it written before tonight's episode aired.

I own only my ideas for the stories I write...and I never claim to own the shows or characters. I can't afford to be sued. LOL

Danny drove home after watching Steve's old football footage with Kono, Chin, and Steve. He had a lot to think about right now. Mostly about how close he had come to losing Gracie. She was his life and the main reason he'd moved to this pineapple-infested hellhole. He really missed his life back in New Jersey. But he's given it all up for his little girl, his whole reason for living.

He gave up everything in his old life to be here in Hawaii with Grace, her mom and even her step Stan. I get such little time with her as it is, and I almost lost her completely this time. From here on out, I have to make sure that nothing like that ever happens again. I can't lose my Gracie, she's my only bright spot in this ugly world. She's the reason I do what I do for a living, the reason I's still a cop. I want to make this world better for her.

He pulled up in front of his place and got out of his car. He was so going to owe Steve for this. He just hoped that Steve didn't hold it over his head for a long time. Steve had gone out of his way to do something good for Danny, and even involved the Governor. He wondered if he was going to be in debt to Governor Jameson as well as Steve. He knew that he was forever in his debt now.

I know it's short, but it's been going through my head all week and this is all I could think of writing to make it not too forced. I hope you like it, thanks for reading and as always, please review.
