Angela had just been about to drive off when they all heard the sirens. The Rangers turned to look. A fire truck raced by. Almost in unison, they turned to Carter, who nodded and then took off. Chad looked at Kelsey, who grinned and they raced after their friend. Dana and Ryan looked at each other for a moment before following them. Joel removed his hat with a small, frustrated cry, causing Angela to laugh.
"Don't go anywhere. I'll be right back," he told her, picking up the hat and placing it on her head. Angela laughed as he jumped out of the car and hurried away. Figures. Just when I finally say 'Yes' to him, he runs off to play the hero, she thought in amusement. But she wasn't going to complain. That's what had made her fall for him in the first place. She nodded. She'd wait for as long as it took. She watched as they all raced away. As they followed the truck, the Rangers distinctly heard Captain Mitchell shouting something, but it was too far away for them to hear.
"Ready?"
"Ready!"
"Light Speed Res-" It was then that they all realized every one of them was missing a very important piece of equipment.
"Guys, I think we forgot something," Dana commented and they all burst into laughter.
"I forgot we handed them to Dad," Ryan admitted.
"Me too," Kelsey said.
"Come on. We can still help," Carter stated. Then, continuing to laugh, they quickly began herding other citizens away from the fire zone.
