I wrote this one really late the other night as an excuse to keep my brother off the PC. It's really short and a bit cruddy, but here you go:
Tala sat in the freezing snow and cried. He picked up one of the bottles of vodka beside him and drank half of it in one go, following it with the other half. He twisted open another bottle and drank that just as quickly. He could already feel the alcohol numbing his senses- it took effect quickly owing to the fact that he hadn't eaten for the past three days.
"Bryan..." He whispered. Bryan, the one he had cherished and loved, the one who he needed, the one who he adored...the one who was dead. Tala knew that even if he didn't choose to end his life and lived to be a hundred he would never forgive Tyson. Those few harsh words he'd said about Bryan attacking Rei, something in them had triggered an unimagineable block in Bryan's mind, forcing him to depression, and later suicide.
Damn Tyson...damn his stupid big mouth. He had stolen away Bryan, beautiful Bryan who had been so wonderful, so strong...or at least he had been until Tyson...
Tala blinked. He could hear footsteps in the snow. But whoever it was was too late...he could feel himself slipping away...
"Tala...say hello to him for me."
"K-" Tala's frozen lips tried to spit out. Kai looked down at him, dressed in loose trousers and no shirt as he was, skin blue with the cold, cheeks red from the vodka.
"It's okay. I'll stay with you. I don't want you to leave alone...and I understand why you're doing this. You loved him." He took hold of Tala's hand, but Tala didn't feel it, only felt his eyes starting to snap shut. Eventually they closed, and he knew no more.
He woke up feeling strange, and found Bryan standing over him. "Bryan!"
"Tala...why did you do it?"
Tala stood up and grabbed Bryan around the waist. "I couldn't live without you..." Bryan's pale, ghostly outline moved closer to him and held him. "I was waiting for you. I guess they thought we'd need to face hell together..."
"Is that where we're going Bryan?" Asked Tala, suddenly fearful. Bryan shrugged.
"We've spent our lives hurting people, Tala. But we'll be together..."
Tala clung to Bryan, then gasped. Something was squirming inside Bryan's back. He felt the same sensation tingling in his own spine, then gasped as beautiful white wings erupted behind Bryan, sweeping up into the shimmering haze they were lost in. Bryan gaped at him, and he could only conclude that he had wings as well. He grasped Bryan's hand tightly as a path unfolded before them...a beautiful, heavenly path.
"Tala Ivanov...Bryan Kuznetsov..." A warm voice shivered into the air around them. "Consider this a penance for the world to take on for all the hurts you have suffered. Go into the light together and be happy..."
