"I love the smell of justice in the morning!" Dick Grayson declared, breathing deeply. Barbara Gordon, who was back to back with him, laughed. "Only you could say that surrounded by fifteen armed robbers."

They had stopped an armed bank robbery right in the middle of the robbers making their getaway. Barbara figured they probably had a little too much fun fighting criminals, but hey at least they were entertained. She ducked under a man's fist that had come flying toward her and kicked him into the ground.

Dick whirled around and punched a guy who was about to trip Barbara. "Maneuver five?" He asked Barbara. She nodded at him and ran towards him, launching off his shoulders and doing a spin kick before landing. Barbara took out four guys in a row. "Whew." She wiped imaginary sweat off her forehead. "Good thing we practiced that one."

Soon Dick and Barbara had defeated all the robbers and tied them up. Barbara and Dick were walking away when Barbara heard one of the men say. "Did we just get beat up by a red headed chick in high heels?"

"Do you want to check the other bank across town really quick?" Dick asked, jumping off the side of a building.

Barbara followed him and did a flip. "You know we're probably insane for doing this." Barbara said.

Dick nodded. "Yeah we probably are, but we are bats."

Barbara agreed. "Hey do you want to go for ice cream?" She asked suddenly. Dick grinned. "Sure."

They smiled at each other and went to the nearest ice cream parlor. "I'll have vanilla." Barbara told the man taking their order, who was staring at them in shock. They were still in their uniforms. Barbara motioned to Dick. "And he'll have chocolate."

The man moved his head in what might have been a nod and went to get their orders. As soon as he was out of sight, Dick and Barbara turned to each other and laughed. "We should do this more often." Barbara said, still laughing.

Dick suddenly stopped laughing and looked at her. "Yeah, we should do this a lot more often." He blushed and focused on his ice cream.

Barbara's eyes widened. "Boy wonder, did you just ask me out?" She chuckled at his awkwardness. "All right, don't fret, I'll go on a date with you."

"Really?" Dick's face brightened.

Barbara smiled. "Yeah, but only five, so I can see how much I like you."

Dick laughed at that. "Only five huh?"

"Yup." Barbara licked around the bottom of her cone so it wouldn't drip. "And then we'll see." She grinned impishly.

Dick laughed. "Do you think Daddy Bats will approve?"

Barbara shrugged. "Most likely not, but he'll get used to the idea." Dick agreed and finished the last bite of his cone. They left the shop together hand in hand. "You're not so bad, Boy Wonder."

"You either Batgirl."
