Sometimes it's such an effort to keep his eyes open.

He looked so tired and haggard that it did give him an excuse not to hang out too much with Junpei and Yukari in the after school hours, his two friends showed him worried glances, but he would calmly tell them that he's been studying a little too late and its just catching up to him.

Junpei snorted, "You study too much, dude."

But they were kind enough to at least accompany him to the train station, before they left to their other activities.

The trip is uneventful, and even though he usually finds the time to hang out in the temple or visit the old couple running a book store, he found himself wanting to lie down. He slowly walk to the doors of the dorm, and even though he knows what he expects he'd see, he always hoped that someone would be there to greet him, like they used to.

The lobby is empty, and quiet. Despite himself, he couldn't help but feel disappointed.

Nevertheless, there are moments that he feels happy for them. His friends are enjoying the time and the lives they fought so hard to achieve. They all deserve it.

And besides… it would make parting easier, for all of them.

He climbed the stairs, deciding that he's too tired to eat dinner, and upon entering the confines of his room, he allowed himself to collapse to his bed, closing his eyes. But his thoughts continue…

Pretty soon, he may not be able to keep himself awake.

He wondered how much time he has left, if this is the last time he'll see this room. He feels sad that most likely there would be no one at his side in this trying moment… but he couldn't voice his friends his fears. He couldn't tell them the truth. They've all forgotten, the battles and the comradeship disappeared along with the Dark Hour. They wouldn't understand, and it will only make them worry.

So tired… his body ache for some reason, he feels himself lighter, as if his soul wanted to go somewhere else to ease the burden of his thoughts.

He dimly remember that graduation is a few days away, as his thoughts drifted into oblivion.
