He's Not Coming Back
She sat high above the stadium watching them draw their numbers. Goku had just drawn the number three, and he was now speaking to Buu. She peered down at her husband knowing he was planning to do something. Maybe he was planning use Buu's magic to switch the numbers to pick an opponent. ~Goku,~ she thought ~what's gotten into you? You're usually not one to cheat.~ She squinted, for they were so far down. She saw Vegeta whisper something urgent to Goku. She folded her arms across her bosom and waited for the fighting to begin.
"Hey, Mom, I'm gonna go wish Pan good luck," said Gohan as he and Videl walked down the stairs to give their little girl a pep talk.
Chichi wasn't worried when she saw Pan fight. Fighting was in her genes; it was in her Saiyan blood. She was worried for her little boy, who just so happened to not be little anymore, for he was paired with Buu. Buu was very powerful - even if he was good. ~Oh well, atleast I brought some Senzu Beans with me.~
She watched her four-year-old granddaughter fight, knocking the burly man out in two swift moves. She smiled as Pan skipped off chanting, "Number one! Number one! Number one! " Her smile quickly faded when she saw that Goku was paired up with a child.
~Don't go too hard on him, Goku,~ she thought to herself. ~I won't push him too hard, Chi.~ Chichi gasped. He had heard her thoughts. Goku grinned up at her. She smiled back and blew him a kiss. A small blush crept across his cheeks.
The gong sounded and the fighting began. Chichi watched and yawned - she was not amused. She glanced down again to see that Uub was learning to fight as he fought (AN: sound familiar?). ~Amazing, I haven't seen anything like it.~ She watched as Uub fell, but her Goku was caught him just in time.
Chichi watched as Goku spoke to Uub. Then Goku flew up to where they were seated. ~Goku,~ thought Chichi, ~what in Kami's name are you doing?~
"Hey guys," said Goku, "I'm gonna go train Uub," Those last five words were the five words stabbed her heart - her world came crashing down around her. ~No,~ Chichi screamed in her head, ~no, Goku, don't do this to me. Chichi, you've got to do something. ~
"You're LEAVING!?" shouted Gohan. "I'm sure you'll understand," replied Goku quietly. "That's the thing - we DON'T understand!"
"Not again," Chichi groaned. She really thought that Goku was going to stay with her forever, but she was wrong. Wrong in ever thinking that he would settle down and stay home. Wrong in ever thinking he would be the dependable husband he was supposed to be. Wrong in ever thinking she could capture his heart. Her home was supposed to be his home, but home was where the heart is, and Goku's heart was on the battle front and wherever training took him. She looked up into his deep onyx orbs and saw a man who was free, a man that would never stop fighting for what he loved. She saw the naïve man that she fell in love with, but he had grown wiser. She saw that he was willing to leave his family - Gohan, Goten, and even little Pan, but what hurt most was that he wasn't event thinking of her, all because of fighting.
Goku flew off to tell Pan. Chichi was numb, she couldn't do anything. She couldn't speak. All she could do was produce the hot, angry tears that slid down her face. ~He's not coming back.~
AN: So....? ::looks hopeful:: How was it? Please tell me how it was. God I hope it wasn't that bad. gag me with a spoon if it was.
