The sun rises. On a beach near Treasure Town lays an unconscious charmander. At the same time a cowardly totodile fails to muster the courage to join the Wigglytuff Guild.
- "Sigh. Dammit if I keep on like this I'll never be an explorer…" Sobs the defeated totodile.
Ashamed at himself he goes to his usual "alone place", the beach. He stared at the native Krabby's bubbles agains`t the sunset, Those always made him tear up. When the show ended, he noticed something was wrong: a charmander laying on the sand with a small scar on his chest.
"Are you ok there?" he asked.
"Ugh. Where am I" the charmander responded.
"Treasure Town. The name's Aquamentus, what are you called?" the totodile responded trying to help.
"I'm Daniel. Can you- what the hell?! A talking pokémon?!" the charmander said, frightened
"You do realize you are a charmander right?" the totodile asked in confusion.
"What are you-" the charmander gasped at the sight of his tail.
"But I'm a human!" the charmander said, now even more frightened.
"If that's true then you USED to be a human" the totodile said jokingly.
"I.. I can't remember anything" the charmander realized.
" Well Let's get help for you then.. ouch!" the totodile was interrupted as a zubat accompanied by a koffing suddenly stole a stone from his pouch!
"Well if it isn't Aquamentus, that stone of yours is probably worth a lot. So.. We're taking it!" the koffing said
"don't you dare even try-" he was cut short by the zubat's poison sting.
The two then proceded to the Beach Cave. A small cave on the side of the beach. The totodile began to cry at his loss when he felt a hand on his shoulder.
-"Let's get your stone back." The charmander said confidently.
Prologue ends.
