It was a normal day in Bygone Island. The sun was high, the birds were singing, Eggman was trying to wake a volcano while Sonic and his friends were trying to stop him, the usual.
"You won't get away with this Eggman!" said Sonic to his nemesis.
Eggman was flying in his latest invention, a Giant red robot eagle that drops bombs.
"It's too late sonic!" said Eggman "The moment my robot eagle that drops bombs, still working on the name by the way, drops his bombs in the volcano. This whole island will burn! HA HA HA!"
"Why?" Cut Amy.
"I… what?" Eggman stopped lauging surprised by the question.
" why burn the island? You live in it too, don't you?" Said Amy.
" … That's actually a good point…" said Eggman shocked that he forgot a such crucial detail.
Sonic used Amy's distraction to do a Homing attack on Eggman. The robot eagle that drops bombs started falling in the volcano while Eggman ejected himself.
"Looks like you're robot is toast!" Said Knuckle "Ha ha… Even for me that joke was bad."
"IDIOTS!" yelled Eggman "It's still full of bombs! It's going to explode in the volcano! i know it was my plan but now it seems like a really dumb plan!"
Sonic clinched his fist.
" I have to stop it before the robot explode!" he said.
" You can't go in there! You'll burn before even reaching it!" Said tails.
" I knew this volcano would be the end of us!" Said Sticks "And nobody ever believed me! SINCE WHEN IS THERE EVEN A VOLCANO IN THIS ISLAND!"
" Guys look!" said Amy.
Out of nowhere, they saw Shadow jump into the volcano; Leaped to reach the robot eagle that drops bombs that somehow didn't reach the lava yet and put his hand on it.
"Chaos Control!" Yelled shadow.
Shadow and The robot eagle that drops bombs (it's the last time that the full name is used by the way) teleported just beside sonic and his friend, except knuckles who was crushed by the robot.
"I am okay…" he said Knuckles in pain.
"Nice work Shadow, you really saved the day… again." Said sonic.
"next time, don't blindly attack." Said shadow.
" says the one who attacked me for no good reason." Said sonic.
" when I was controlled or when I was a jerk?" Asked shadow.
Sonic thought for a moment.
" Are they both canons?" asked sonic.
" they can't be both canon!" aid shadow
"guys! Keep the Meta humor to a minimum!" Warned Tails.
" anyway, I won't always be here to save you." Said shadow.
"you could, if you joined us again." Said sonic.
Shadow groaned then turned around.
"forget it, I work alone now." He said.
Shadow started walking away.
"Shadow," started sonic "The past is in the past."
Shadow stopped for a moment, and then continued in his way.
" wait a minute," said Amy. "Again?"
"yeah, you and Sticks weren't part of the team back then, but yeah shadow used to be part of team sonic." Said sonic
"you mean team knuckles." Corrected Knuckles.
" we are not doing that again!" Said Tails before Sonic could retort.
"so wait, he was with you guys? Why did he leave?" Asked Stick.
"…let's just say that an incident happened. After it, things weren't the same anymore, And Shadow started to work alone." Answered Tails
" what happened exactly?" Asked Sticks.
"It's his business; we won't talk about it unless he agrees." Said knuckles.
" oh common!" pleaded Amy.
"Sorry Amy, A bro never reveals another bro's business, I would be pretty that' in the bro code I could read" said knuckles.
"Pff, fine" said amy "if it's like that we won't insist, right sticks… Sticks? Where is she?
"guys, I think she went after Shadow!" Said Tails.
