Well, seeing as I have nothing else better to do, I wrote something short and fluffy.

The cold panes of glass were frosted over, and Cammie's slender fingers splayed over the condensation. Behind the doors were boxes of fun, bright colors, beckoning to her. They had weird names, like "Moose Tracks" and "Birthday Surprise" and "Peanut Butter Explosion". They were all so fun and so different, but Cammie was undoubtedly drawn to the simple blue and white box labeled "Vanilla."

Her fingertips were numb with cold when she heard the soft thud of the freezer door opposite her. Zach had a carton of ice cream in his hand, and he was just about to place it into their overflowing shopping cart when Cammie grasped his wrist.

"Chocolate?" Zach nodded, a small smile appearing on his face for the slightest second. "We had chocolate two weeks ago!"

The man in front of her laughed and nodded towards the freezer she had been staring longingly at, his smile widening and his laugh shaking his shoulders. "And we had vanilla last week!" However, he did turn and replace his carton of sweet, cocoa-flavored ice cream. "We should get something different."

Cammie pouted and placed her hand on her hip. She knew that if she puckered her bottom lip enough, Zach would relent to whatever she wanted. She knew from experience. "We have root beer. We can't make floats with chocolate ice cream," she said matter-of-factly.

"Well, we can't make root beer floats because that bottle is going to the Newmans' tomorrow for the Christmas party. C'mon, Cammie, let's get something fun. 'Caramel Candy Crunch' sounds yummy. Or what about sherbet? Look at this cool rainbow!" The box was suddenly thrust into Cammie's hands, and she couldn't help but laugh at Zach's mock enthusiasm. "If we're getting sherbet, then we're not getting rainbow. We're getting the orange one." Cammie bent over to put away the colorful mess when she felt a little tug on the end of her skirt. She turned to see a little blond boy holding up a carton of ice cream.

Zach picked him up and rested the small boy on his hip. "I think Matthew has decided for us." The boy smiled as his father took the box from his son's small hands. "Mint chocolate chip, huh, kiddo?" He ruffled the golden locks and set his son back on the ground. Cammie laughed as she placed the box into the cart.

"Chocolate syrup?" Matthew bounced on his feet as his little fingers entangled themselves into his mother's skirt. "Pwease?" The woman shook her head as she smiled towards her husband, who leaned over to whisper in her ear.

"I wonder where he gets his sweet tooth from…" His lips were on her cheek, and then they weren't. Zach reached for Matthew's hand, and asked, "Okay, where's the chocolate syrup?"

The little boy bobbed his head as he led his father to the end of the aisle, leaving Cammie standing by the ice cream freezer. She looked to the stacks of cartons one last time, glancing back into her cart. Back and forth. Chocolate, vanilla, mint. She started back towards her family, only walking a few yards before returning to the freezer. She slipped her hand into the cold case, taking only one box from the shelves.

The box of chocolate ice cream sat perfectly in her cart.
