Zapp
When they first met, it was during a fight we a Blood Breed and honestly Zapp Renfro had no clue that his master had taken on an apprentice until they met with the apprentice bursting a hole through the crushed plane. Zed was his name and the silver haired male couldn't hold back his laughter, of all things his master took in someone that look like a freaking merman from the lost Atlantis. Needless to say, Zapp's first impression on Zed was not very impressive. They couldn't get along and often would be at each other's throats especially since that merman didn't seem to react to his taunts at all. Gradually, though Zapp slowly stopped fighting with Zed every moment they met and the two became the best partners in whatever mission Steven or Klaus threw/handed to them. Sure they still bickered but Zapp knew that no matter what happens he will always have Zed's back and the fish face will do the same too. Now, if only there was something to cure that weird warm sensation that he always felt when he is with Zed… Maybe a drink and a hot woman should do it… Probably.
Zed
Zed had no idea what to expect when he broke free from the plane. When he first met Zapp he did not get a good impression. Of course having someone laugh at your appearance and comparing your skin to a Japanese sweet is not the best way to make an impression after all. In all seriousness, Zapp was rowdy and had an uncontrollable tongue paired with the uncontrollable urge to pick on him aka the new guy. His attempt of hazing him had been in all honesty uncouth and poor Leo got caught in the brunt of it. Despite everything, Zed soon begin to see past the uncouth behavior of his senior and slowly developed respect for the male's skill and loyalty towards his comrades. Of course, they still fought but he was slowly beginning to understand his senior just a little bit more as the time passed by. Recently though, the merman realized that his feelings were slowly changing. From respect to something deeper…a want perhaps? Perhaps he should return to his tank after all to try and rid the warmth that suddenly appeared at the thought of the silvered haired male.
