A/N: The infamous DBZ reference. Not sure if I'll get reviews, though.
Nine Thousand
Glen Elg was at work, and even then he'd listen to Millionaire Radio with his device on his right ear, while tapping his keyboard of the computer like mad. Lisa Basil was talking in a monotone voice to his left ear, in which he could not hear a thing, and he used it his advantage. His co-workers were watching him, betting that with each other that he would lose yet once again, though keeping their eyes peeled on the monitor. It was like this everyday, and it became more than a habit gambling. It was his addiction.
Glen glanced at his horse calendar, and glanced at his card.
"…24, 4, 17, 44…" The host lady said the numbers in his ear piece.
Last number. Last call.
"…7."
"YES! I WON!" He clenched his fists, and shouted with joy, and sang the sum of money he had won. Lisa Basil stopped talking, and stared.
"Glen, what did you say about your prize money?" One of his co-workers asked, almost demanding.
"IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAAAAND!" With his fist, he clenched his HMD worn on his left eye, and broke it into a thousand pieces.
"WHAT?" His co-worker slammed the keyboard. "OVER NINE THOUSAND?"
But it wasn't enough to cover his debt, so he used it all for horse races because he thought he could double the money. Or even triple. Lisa laughed and laughed like a robot.
Unlucky guy.
