Tatsumi was wide awake, even though that it was night time, he couldn't sleep. He was thinking of what happened in the past few months, ever since he knew that the Empire was doing. He lost his friends, he joined an assasination group called Night Raid, lost couple more friends, and even found love. All of these in a span of a couple months, and it's still crazy to believe that he made it this far without dying. Hell, even survived Mine's wrath a couple of times, it was all fun and games, fun and games...

"Is it all fun and games with her?" Tatsumi heard a voice that sounded like his own. He sighed and got out of bed to face himself, his own self which always tell him to do stuff. "It would be fun and games if you did listen to me!"

Tatsumi glared at the double and whispered a growling voice. "I know what would happen if I did listen to you, it was my decision to make, not yours."

"I had the greatest ideas that could've made your life better!" The double shouted. "If you just listen to me, everything would be fine!"

"How good is it to be with Esdeath than to be with my friends?" Tatsumi begrudgingly asked to himself. "I know what she is like, and I know her feelings to me, but I had to put her down for what she is."

"BULLSHIT! She was the nisect person to you! that little bitch over there doesn't really care for you!" Tatsumi yelled at Tatsumi, luckily only Tatsumi could hear him. "You could of pick anyone else but her!"

That made Tatsumi real mad at the double. "Don't. Bring. Mine into this. She was the only person that really understands me the most, she knows what it feels like to be me."

"What about Leone? she understands as well!"

"what is it with you affecting my romantic life? She knows how to please a man, but she doesn't know how to be with a man. Besides, she wouldn't want to be with anyone."

"Then surely Akame with understand the most!"

"Akame knows what it feels to lose someone you are close with. She isn't into love due to her own vengence againt the Empire, she doesn't know how to flirt to a person."

"Chelsea!? She had a crush on you!"

"How does she fit in with my life? She is the coldest person I have ever met, calling my mentor weak and going off on her own thinking she will win." Tatsumi sighed and closed his eyes as his head went down. "I cried because she was still my friend, and if you have anymore girls you like to bring up, I'll have my reason."

"So why did you choose her?" The double asked with curiosity in his eyes, yet still angry. "Why did you choose her out of everyone I just mention?"

"I chose her because she is almost exactly like me." Tatsumi started as the double just made a smirk. "She was a forienger just like me out of the Capital, she lost her parents due to being raided, just like me. She knows what it feels like to lose your best friend. Even if she wants everything to herself, deep inside that I know she wants a world to be a better place. She cares for people, something that you can never see, cause you always see her on the outside, but I know her on the inside."

Tatsumi looked up to see his double looking at him with the same glare in his eyes. The double then evilishly smile at him, "If you really care about her, then I hope you can really protect her with all you got." the double then vanish into dust.

"I can and I will. Even if I would sacrifice for her, all I know is that now, her world is my world." Tatsumi whispers to himself before he went back to bed, embracing Mine.

This was inspired by Samurai Jack where he faces with his past self from time to time. Awesome show, you should just watch Season 5 as it's really amazing.
