I HATE PIRATES
Summary: Will was in competition with pirates long before Jack Sparrow arrived in Port Royal.
Will: "Oh, Miss Swann, it's a beautiful day, would you like to walk through the garden with me?"
Elizabeth: "What? Oh, not today, Will. The maid's husband has brought me a book about pirates back from England and I find the stories quite fascinating. Perhaps another day?"
Will: "Hello, Miss Swann. Mr. Brown's wife packed me a nice little lunch. Would you like to join me in the meadow for a picnic?"
Elizabeth: "I'm sorry, Will. I picked up this book in a shop recently and I'm loath to put it down at present. I quite like the pirate hero of the tale. Maybe at a later date?"
Will: "Good day, Miss Swann, would you care to take a ride with me in Mrs. Brown's carriage? I'm sure there are sights in Port Royal that you would like to see."
Elizabeth: "That's very kind of you, Will. Unfortunately, I haven't finished this book about a pirate which a friend has so generously lent me. Perhaps some other time."
Will: Ah, Miss Swann, how nice to see you. I would invite you to Mr. Brown's for dinner, but I see that you are carrying another book. No doubt you would rather spend time with a dashing paper pirate then a moment in the humble company of a common blacksmith. I would escort you up to his house, but it would seem I have more important tasks to take care of in the shop."
Elizabeth: "Oh, William Turner, that was a rude and unkind thing to say. I had always thought you possessed better manners but obviously you do not! My visit has nothing to do with my interest in pirates! I came here to return Grandmother Brown's cooking book which Edna borrowed last Tuesday for my father's birthday roast!"
Will: "I hate pirates."
