"I want a time machine." Julian said in a matter-of-fact tone. He and Derek were sitting under a tree near Stuart House, waiting for Logan to arrive so they could go bowling together. Ever since Logan had started dating Blaine again, he had been spending less and less time with his two best friends, so they were all but forcing him to go out somewhere with them for a night with friends. And he was late.
"A time machine?" Derek laughed. "What for? What would you do with a time machine?"
Julian grinned. "Lots of things. For one, how cool would it be to travel in time? I could go to the end of the earth's life, or see DINOSAURS!" Derek rolled his eyes at that. "Also, it would be really cool to go ten or so years into the future and see how big my movies have gotten. And I could go and kick the ancestors of people I don't like! And…" He looked away awkwardly, hesitating. "Also, if I had a time machine, I could go back a few years and tell myself that I'm falling in love with the wrong best friend."
"What?" Derek asked, confused.
"You heard me. All I'm saying is that it would have saved some time, you know? I mean, if I'm going to fall for you eventually, I might as well have just gotten on with it, instead of wasting so many years crushing on Logan." He sighed. "I'm sorry, if that helps. I didn't mean to fall for you. It just happened. We can just pretend tha-"
Julian found himself unable to finish his sentence. As it turns out, talking is rather difficult with someone else's lips on his.
"No pretending anything." Derek said as he pulled away from Julian. "You're so annoying. If I had a time machine, I would make sure to travel to at least one year after you keep a secret from me, as evidently that's how long it takes for you to ever talk to me about anything."
"Not any longer." Julian said, smiling lazily. "Because if that's the reaction I get after I tell you a secret, then I think it's time for you to know everything I've ever kept from you."
"Or, you know, I could just kiss you."
"As perfectly happily-ever-after that would be," a voice drawled from behind them, "don't we have somewhere to be right about now?" Logan was standing there with a small smile on his face.
""Uh…" Derek looked down at his hands. "How long have you been there?"
"Long enough. Come on, let's get going. You two can have your sexy time later." He smirked, and then yelped in pain. "D, did you just hit me?"
"Yes I did. Why, couldn't you tell? Do you want me to hit you again so you can know for sure this time?" Logan glared, but Derek just laughed it off, wrapping an arm around Julian's waist to pull him closer as they walked to Logan's car.
Logan watched his two best friends and smiled. Sure, the two of them being in a relationship would be a bit weird to him, but he knew that they would be happy together. And more importantly, they would be too busy being a couple to interrupt his dates with Blaine all the time.
"You know Logan," Julian said with a smirk, "this doesn't mean that we won't still interrupt all of your dates with Anderson."
Damn.
A/N: So, there you have it. I'm not that happy with it, as I think it could be better, but I'm too lazy. The prompt was 'Write one leaf describing what you would do with t time machine' but it kind of deviated form that idea nearing the end…
I actually ship Jogan/Julogan/whatever you like to call it, but playing Derek in an RP with Derian in it does something to a person. And since I ship Logan with almost everyone, he can just hang with the Tweedles or Blaine or someone while the Derian happens.
And yes, the characters of Derek, Julian and Logan belong to the wonderful CP Coulter.
