Her lavender eyes, eyes of kindness and purity, were wide and full of fear. Reflected in those pale orbs were puddles of crimson that marred the otherwise green forest floor. Those beautiful, innocent eyes could not handle the sight of blood- his blood -without wanting to cry out in terror. She stood before him, shocked, and unable to grip the harsh reality that lay still before her.
Then, only when someone tried to pull her away, did those shocking eyes fill to the brink with tears.
"No...this can't be real," she whispered, tears now pouring down her, pale, blood-flecked cheeks.
It's just a dream...this isn't real...it's just a dream...
"Hinata, you shouldn't--you don't need to see this," a familiar voice, Naruto's voice, told her as her tried to pull her away.
"This can't be real..." she whispered again, tearing her arm out of Naruto's grip as she continued to stare, horror-struck, at the sight.
A dream...just a terrible dream...
"He's gone, Hinata..." the kitsune replied sadly. He knew, no matter how terrible it sounded, that you had to be honest and rather blunt when a comrade died. There was no avoiding it, for in this war, casualties were as common as the cold.
No he's not...he's still alive...he can't be gone...
"KIBA!" she cried out suddenly as Naruto attempted to force her away from the mangled corpse. "KIBA, PLEASE! "
Fighting tooth and nail, the Hyuuga broke free of Naruto's restraining hold and rushed back to her comrade's side.
This can't be happening...Kiba, please, answer me.
"KIBA! KIBA! PLEASE, KIBA, DON'T LEAVE ME!" she sobbed as she kneeled beside him, her lavender eyes taking in the sight of his handsome face, cut and covered in blood.
"Hinata, he's dead! He's gone...he won't come back!" Naruto told the hysterical kunoichi as he picked her up from behind, turned around, and started to carry her away.
This is just a nightmare...this isn't real...oh, please, don't let this be real...
"H-h-he w-was my f-f-f-irst f-f-friend!" she sobbed as she struggled against Naruto's hold. "H-he w-was the b-best th-thing I-I've ev-ever h-h-had! We were g-going to be ma-ma-married! We were g-going to r-ra-raise a f-family! He c-can't leave me...not n-now...not now..."
He can't leave me like this...no, this can't be real!
With one last effort, the Hyuuga heiress broke free. But this time, the Kyuubi container was ready for it. He pulled her back as she began to run, and began to drag her away once more. Only this time, she was facing the body of her beloved fiancee. She watched with a horrified, tear-filled gaze as medic nins hoisted his limp, blood form onto a stretcher and began to carry him away.
"He was my best friend..." she whispered, her eyes red and swollen from crying as she watched her faithful brunette being taken away from her.
He can't leave me like this...
"I love him..." she choked out, no longer resisting the blonde shinobi.
He can't...this can't happen...
"I'm so sorry," Naruto murmured, his cerulean eyes filled with tears as well.
It's just a dream...this can't be real...it's just a dream...

Cloud: I'm in love with all things KibaHina. Why I must continue to kill them off...I don't even know. But I promise I won't kill Kiba or Hinata in Not All Seeing. Special thanks to Lagauna for giving me some extra help with this. Oh, and please review! -hearts-
