Hey everyone, I really hope you like this poem; I'm kind of experimenting right now so if you would please critic me that would be wonderful! I wrote this poem to express a lot of different kinds of love from faith, friendship, family, and romantic, but for POTO I like to express Erik's thankfulness for Christine's love. Anyway, thanks so much for reading and I hope you enjoy the E/C poem!
ACCEPTED
The past held me down to bleed
Separating my life from completion.
I felt not the least bit worthy,
Driving me to competition.
Without love, I was empty.
Only a word would have been plenty.

Satisfaction proved its taunting
With happy faces and cheerful life.
Never did I have the chance,
I always lived with torturing strife.
My flaws were paraded for all to see
And only you heard my plea.

Under your wing was I kept safe,
From mocking tongues and treachery.
You gave me a gift that I hold dear
Which, if lost, would be blasphemy.
The gift was love which sated my heart
And never now will we be apart.
