You are confronted with something and you find, unexpectedly, that this is something you cannot forgive…
My mother breaks her lip contact with the man and looks my way.
"Draco, uh…why don't you go and finish unpacking?" I've never seen my mother so uncollected. I've never seen my mother with another man.
"Who's he? And where's Father?" I ask wearily. I may be only eleven, but I understand this stuff. Too much of it actually.
"Oh um this is Alexander…he's my third cousin. And you Father is at the Ministry."
Alexander smirks at Draco. Draco glares back.
"So you just go around and kiss your cousins?" I say accusingly.
"No hun', we were just discussing," I put a hand up to stop her from talking any more.
"No, you were cheating on Father! And I bet he's not even your cousin! Merlin this is sick!" Tears blurring my eyes I turn my back on the two and storm out of the library.
Reaching my master bedroom I run into my bathroom shutting the door and locking it. I look at myself in the mirror and I see the same pale faced, white blond haired Draco. But my eyes seem darker and a more troubled grey now. Tears stream down my cheeks.
I furiously wipe my eyes. Malfoys don't cry. I'm stronger then they think. I can do better.
I pull open a cabinet and shuffle through some stuff searching for something I haven't used in ages. Once I find it I bring the blade out and pull up my sleeve.
I manage to hold my tears back the whole time.
I've experience worse pain.
