FASH: Man, I don't think I've ever typed out Shin's first name so much before. Anyways, the lack of Shin/Sena in this fandom is getting to me, I'll have to write a multi-chaptered fic for this pairing sometime this summer in between chapters for Play Date.

Raising a boy like Seijuro was definitely not a piece of cake.
He had been ten times more prone to breaking things then the average boy, even now in his teens he couldn't seem to control his strength, or maybe he didn't even try to control it.
In any case, she had a lot of things break over the years when Shin was being normal, it was even worse when he was what she assumed was happy or perhaps even excited, he was always so stone faced that it was hard to tell, even if she'd known him for his entire life.
"Remember Seijuro-chan," She began slowly, holding the home phone in front of her delicately, neither her nor her husband had ever entertained the thought of getting their son a cell phone, it would probably be crushed within minutes.
"If you break the phone, you won't be able to make plans to meet up with Sena–kun, poor Sena-kun might even think that you hung up on him and won't ever have the courage to phone again and will shy away from you if you approach him so you won't be able to train together." She looked at Seijuro suspiciously, sure training seemed to be the only thing her boy ever really seemed to think about, but he was a growing boy after all, what if he were really sneaking out with Sena to go on dates under the guise of training?
"I understand mother." Seijuro replied seriously, holding his hand out for the phone and she almost laughed at her own train of thought.
'Seijuro-chan is much too serious about everything to lie, and I doubt he's very sneaky.' She handed the phone to him, smiling widely when Seijuro took it with an uncharacteristic gentleness.
'I'm going to have to thank Sena-kun personally for saving me money on new phones.'
The phone crashed to the hard, unforgiving floor. Apparently Shin was trying so hard not to break it that he ended up not holding on to it tightly enough.
'Or not.' She would have began her usual tirade about breaking things by now, but her son was giving her such a lost look, his eyes oddly wide and his lips moving to form words, but no sound came out.
'Oh dear, I wonder if he thinks what I said earlier will actually happen?' Shin had started to run for the front door, already too far along for her to bother telling him not to run in the house.
He had just exited the front door when the phone upstairs began to ring, she slowly made her way to it and picked it up with a smile. 'Honestly, I guess Seijuro-chan forgot we have more then one phone in the house.'
"Hi Sena-kun, Seijuro-chan is on his way over right now, he might seem a little panicked when he gets to you, but don't shy away from him, you might break my baby's poor little heart."
"O-okay." The boy replied, clearly confused and she was glad this conversation wasn't face to face, otherwise her wide smile might have frightened him.
"I'll talk to you later Sena-kun."
"Bye." He responded politely and she hung up, her already large smile growing.
'Seijuro-chan's never broken anything due to being too careful before, Sena-kun must really be something, I'll have to meet him sometime.'
And maybe while she was at it she could convince Sena to stay with her son for better or for worse?
