Damn Spider
Colonel Jack O'Neill USAF couldn't believe it; he was stuck in the infirmary again.
Was his latest injury the result of some heroic action that saved both his life and the lives of his team? No. This was because he'd be bitten by a spider, granted it was an off world spider, but how was he ever going to live this down.
He new Frasier and the rest of his team where having a ball with the situation, and it was only a matter of time before the rest of the base heard. The marines are going to have a field day.
"Damn Spider"
"Hi Jack" Daniel greeted as he walked into the infirmary "who are you talking to?"
He glared "come to make fun of me again, laugh at me in my misery"
"What, no just got out of debriefing with the general. Teal'c said needed to get something from his quarters before he stopped by, and Fagers been in Sam's lab again. I do have one question though."
"What would that be?" damn he had a bad feeling about this, yep the kid was smiling.
"How does a spider that small manage to get through BDU's"
"Daniel leave it"
Daniel started to smirk "well Jack you are always telling me to think things through."
"Daniel Jackson, O'Neill you should cease this line of conversation before Dr Frasier decides to remove both Daniel and my self from the infirmary." Teal'c stated as he walked into the room.
"T man where you been " jack called before putting on his best pleading face "can you please tell Danny to stop talking about the whole spider thing."
"O'Neill, Major Carter recently showed me how to use the internet, and I have spent time looking up the different cultures in your planet. While looking at a place called Australia I came across this song. I thought it would be appropeate to your current situation." He said as be pulled a laptop out of the bag he was carring and started the song it was set to.
There was a redback on the toilet seat
When I was there last night
I didn't see him in the dark
But boy, I felt his bite,
I jumped high up into the air

That crafty redback spider
Wasn't nowhere to be found
I rushed in to the missus
Told her just where I'd been bit
She grabbed the cut-throat razor blade
And I nearly took a fit,

While the spider had a feast
"Great Teal'c that really made me feel a heap better" Jack managed to splutter after the song finished.
"I don't know Jack, I thought it suited." Daniel turned to look a jack "especially the part about all the nurses laughing."
"Indeed said Teal's a small smile on his face "the nursing staff seemed to find the situation most amusing."
