"Did you hear there was going to be a transfer student coming today?"
"Yeah, I did! I heard it was going to be a girl, too!"
"Why are you guys so worked up over a new kid? I don't see why there has to be so much commotion over it..."
"You just don't understand! What if they are better at baseball?"
"Oh, heck no. No one beats me at baseball! Not if my life depended on losing!"
"That kind of makes no sense..."
"I don't care! Now come on, we have to get to class!" The group of kids ran their separate directions to home room. One certain boy, who was known throughout Eagleland, went to his class and sat at his desk. Shortly after, a girl who had blonde hair in pigtails tied by violet ribbons, a white sweater with a black shirt under, a black skirt, and knee high boots came in after the teacher.
"Everyone, this is our new student. Be nice. Her name is Claire." The teacher announced. "You can take a seat over there."
"Yes sir." Claire nodded and took her seat. Class went on as usual and eventually the bell rung. "Um...now it's free period? I didn't think that would be now..."
"Our school is weird like that." Smiled the boy from before. "My name's Ness, by the way."
"Nice to meet you! I'm sure you akready know, but I'm Claire!" Claire greeted. She observed the boy that was in front of her. He had a sporty look, with his hat tilted to the right, blue and gold striped shirt, and a yellow backpack by his seat. "Is there much to do in Onett?"
"I guess there isn't that much, though it's pretty big. There's an arcade, but not a lot of people go there ever since the Sharks took it over...even though they're gone. Other than that, we have a few parks, but not as much or as big as Twoson's." Ness explained. "School has a lot of after school stuff though, like I'm in baseball."
"Really!? Baseball is awesome!" Claire exclaimed. "Heheh, sorry...I just have outbursts a lot since I really like sports..."
"Hm...you wouldn't seem much like you would..." Ness shrugged. "But whatever! Anyways, why don't I show you around? This place is really confusing for a middle school!"
"That'd be awesome, Ness!" Claire smiled.
After the long tour of the school, the two seperated, going to their separate classes. After school, Claire happened to meet up with Ness. "Hey Ness!" Claire smiled, running up to her new friend.
"Wassup?" Ness greeted, he was playing with a random yo-yo, which Claire was curious about.
"What's with the yo-yo? Doesn't it get confiscated or something?" Claire asked.
"Nah, one, you don't confiscate from the guy that saved this place! And two, it's a yo-yo from a friend...I don't remember who though..."
"Well, someone has a bad memory!" Claire sighed.
"Hey! I mean, yeah, I forgot who gave it to me, and yeah, I sucked in English today because I forgot like all the vocab, but I have a great memory!" Ness protested.
"Uh-huh...so then Ness...let's talk Giygas, y'know: history. This should be easy for you, Mister Hero That Saved Eagleland!" Claire smirked. "When did Giygas originally arrive to Earth and what was his actual name?"
"Uh..." Ness thought for a moment. "I've got no idea!"
"This question is so easy! 1989 is when Giegue first came to Earth, in which there was a different hero!"
"Well, can we talk 1994? I know 1994 and that's it!" Ness laughed. "Cuz I saved the world then, but now...I'm normal, just got PSI..."
"Yeah whatever, work on school not your stupid psychic abilities you'll never use again!" Claire teased. "Anyways, see ya tomorrow!"
"Okay, bye!" Ness waved.
