Harry Potter writing challenge.

We got a list of 150 writing prompts, words song titles, pictures and characters.

We're supposed to to choose a pairing to write about for 100 of them and a single character to write shorts about with the 50 character names.

The title of the story is the Prompt, and I keep them numbered to keep track. ;)

001. Chair

Teddy wore a mock apologetic expression but his eyes clearly held triumph as Al plopped onto the sofa in a pout. He might have felt bad about not letting him win, it was his birthday after all, but his competitive side had picked up the glint in Victoire's eye five rounds ago and he knew she wouldn't feel bad about it either. She was the one who'd issued the challenge after all.

"Alright" Ginny said as she pulled a chair off to the side. "Final round, ready?" Teddy and Victoire stared with determination at each other and nodded. "Go!" George covered his eyes and began singing, rather horribly, some muggle pop song as the two circled the last remaining chair. Their eyes never left each other's and their knees stayed slightly bent, ready to drop into the seat, as they waited for George to stop.

"They look like they're taking this way to seriously…" Ron whispered loudly to Harry as his brother held a long high note that made everyone in the room cringe.

Teddy cracked a smile but didn't let his focus slip and right in the middle of the note George cut off and turned around. It was as if everything slowed, Teddy and Victoire both looked down from opposite sides towards the single seat before back up at each other. Then Teddy had a leg over though Victoire had half sat right on it. He used his other leg to push hers and, both gripping the back, they wiggled and shoved and tried to get each other to fall.

In their struggle the chair upset and they toppled backward with it, sprawling on the floor in a tangle of limbs. Victoire jabbed Teddy in the ribs as he laughed though she couldn't help but grin as well.

"Well… er, a tie I guess?" George said uncertainly as the room gave a collective shrug.

"Can we have Grams cake now?" Albus cried taking the attention from the two on the floor. Ginny agreed and as the family waded into the kitchen Teddy and Victoire made to untangle themselves.

"I won." Teddy said smugly as he reclaimed his arm. Victoire's head snapped around to debate otherwise but before she could say anything to protest he'd pressed his mouth to hers, quick and very softly, and then headed toward the kitchen leaving her staring after him, her freckled cheeks tinged pink. She supposed he had won this battle, but it was only one of many in their ongoing war.
