I stood a few feet away from Edward, afraid of what he would do next. The enraged look on his face was more than enough to send a little girl crying, and his eyes were a very bright red. And let me tell you, it wasn't the type of look he got when he started to get hungry, it was the one he got when he was about to make the kill. Suddenly as if to prove my thoughts, he changed- he started to have a sick bloodlust-like aura radiated off from around him. I stepped back a few steps, frightened indeed, but too scared to make the run knowing it would only make my death worse. After that day my heart never moved again…

Edward POV

I stared thoughtfully into those chocolate brown eyes. "Love, it'll only be about a week. Alice will be here," I said, sad that I had to leave her for yet another hunting trip. She groaned, "That makes me feel much better," Bella replied sarcastically. My eyes pleaded into hers, begging her to understand. Bella sighed in surrender, "Fine I'll let the big scary monster go hunting." I knew it was true, and I tried to ignore the true monster inside of me that was trying so hard to get to Bella. Our lips touched for a few moments until I released her. Her body was so fragile and if I hurt her I wouldn't be able to stand it.

3 days, 2 hours, 4 minutes later

Licking the last few drops of the forest deer, then I buried it to hide any evidence. It wasn't until then when I sensed a new vampire entering the area and moving closer towards me. I went on full guard, but I could tell that it wasn't one of the Volturi. Strangely enough I couldn't read this persons mind, it wasn't Bella, and this person seemed familiar…
