What Could Go Wrong?

To my cat, I leave all of my worldly possessions in the event that I do not return from this horrible trip that Ron and Harry are trying to call a vacation.

"Ease up, Hermione," Ron said with a laugh. "It won't be that bad. We are supposed to have a tour guide with us at all times and everything. That is how these safari things work."

"Great," Hermione mumbled. "Just another person to feed to the lions."

She threw aside the quill and parchment she had been writing on before turning back to her preparations. She sighed heavily as she looked through the contents of her bag—again. Her lips moving silently and her head nodding, she mentally crossed a few items off one of her many lists.

"Hermione," Harry said impatiently. He was leaned up against the wooden wall, his arms crossed, where he was observing her manic behavior. "You have gone through your pack four times already! We need to get going or we are going to miss the Portkey."

"Wouldn't want that now, would we?" she said under her breath.

She shouldered her bag and gave her cat one last longing look before following the boys out of the door and away from her cottage sanctuary.

"I cannot believe you convinced me to do this!" she cried, throwing her hands up in the air.

"Hermione, what could go wrong?" Ron asked, trudging down the stone pathway.

'What could go wrong, indeed,' Hermione thought staring after him.
