Blood Lust
Chapter 1 – Introduction
Bella Cullen walked hand in hand with her husband Edward Cullen on their way towards the store to get food for their child Renaesme. She held her daughter's hand as they approached the sliding doors. Bella's brown, silky hair, flowed over her shoulders blowing every so often from the wind. Everything in her life was perfect. Until now.
Before them stood the glass doors and a male vampire. He strolled towards them and instantaneously kissed Bella. "What the heck! Get off of her! You have no right!" Edward was enraged. He threw the vampire off of Bella. The vampire just laughed. "You think that's Bella? Well since we are about to be ratted out by an enemy far greater than you, I might as well reveal to you who this really is. Follow me." Edward, Reneasme and 'Bella' followed the stranger to an alley. 'Bella' sighed and her body started to morph. "What…the…" was all Edward could muster out. There before him stood a vampire girl, taller and darker in skin tone than Bella. "This here is MY wife, Pearl. She was illusory to you. Bella originally died from James, and Pearl merely replaced her. Bella's been dead. We just needed a spawn that was both human AND vampire. Many have tried to stop us. But one might succeed. Too bad you won't be the one to do that." "But how did she have a child? She's a vampire," Edward was determined to find an answer and was too dumbfounded to seek hatred on the intruders. "Pearl can morph into others, taking their physical and mental selves with her. She's quite extraordinary. Don't you think?" Edward was now exasperated. "Reneasme was part of it too. She knew everything, and was honored to be the result. Now we must be going. We won't be seeing you around. Bye." Edward couldn't move a muscle. He was stricken with hate, confusion, breakage and loss.
2 weeks later
Alice strolls in to Edward's presence as he is sitting on the couch, eyes vaguely showing any sign of acknowledgement. "Edward," Alice speaks in a light voice towards the motionless vampire. "This is my friend from California, Amanda and her friend Kayla." Edward's gaze shifts toward the two. If vampires could faint, Edward would have. For there stood before him the most beautiful vampire he had ever laid his empty eyes on. If he had a beating heart it would have frozen in pure bliss. "Hello! I'm Ama-". "Amanda. Alice just told me." An awkward silence filled the room. Only a faint heart beat of a hybrid filled the empty room. Almost too faint to he noticed. "You. You're different." Edward was pointing at Kayla. "I'm a hybrid. Half-Vampire and Half-Shape shifter. When I was phasing during battle I was bit, causing me to go into convulsions of pain and terror. The change allowed me to change into more than one being. I can now change into all of them." She sniffed the air around her and showed a discomfort look. "I feel out of place. I'm originally a shape shifter, so I do not feel that comfortable here. I am going
to look around Forks. Call my name and I'll hear." And with that, Kayla left. Alice, Edward and Amanda hung around the room in silence for another three minutes before Alice left. "So, you're a vampire, like us?" "Yes. Can I sit down? I feel out of place just standing." He nodded yes and she placed herself on a chair. "Do you like movies Edward?" Edward's eyes onyx eyes fell upon Amanda's. "Yes, I do." "Well, I was wondering if you would like to accompany me to the theaters." Edward stood up, grabbed a pair of keys, and opened the door. "Anything to be out of here." The last sentence Edward said in faint a whisper, "and to be with you."
