Fifteen years ago, a scientist locked himself inside his lab.
Ten months later, he immerged, two daughters richer.
No one knows exactly what had happened or how, only that he entered with three ingredients, sugar and spice and all things nice, and he exited with two perfect little girls.
But what became of the third? The everything nice? The hopes and dreams of the trio?
Nobody knew.
Nobody cared.
Not even her sisters, who like the rest of the world erased the very possibility of her existence from their minds.
But that scientist remembers, he remembers what he did.
He remembers every time he looks at either of his daughters.
He remembers his expression reflected in their innocent eyes, void of any distrust or pain, only barely aware of the man who held their very fate in his hands.
He remembers the heavy burden of having to choose, the way it weight him down like Mt. Everest was sitting on his head.
But he had to choose, who lived outside under the sun with hope for a brighter tomorrow, the ability to make something of their lives, learning and discovering the world around them at their own pace. Loving while being loved, caring while being cared for, trusting while being trusted.
And choosing who didn't.
But how could he choose between any of his beautiful gifts, he was still human, brilliant beyond compare and respect by scientists all around the world but still human.
In the end, he did do it though and now nearly fifteen years later, he will have to face his decision one last time and he hopes he can make the right choice this time.
He prays it's not too late to be a little bit nice.
Hey guys, author here! Just wanted to introduce this sneak preview of a story I've had on my mind for weeks now. I'm not confident in my writing but I hope you'll put up with me. Thank you in advanced and hope to see you next time!(Friendly criticism is appreciated.)
