A/N: After writing all the dramatic pieces I wanted to write something more fun. The medical information might be a bit too much, but I thought it was an interesting piece of information as most people seem to think it is the salt content of liquorice causing high blood pressure / hypertension (which I did too).

High blood pressure and liquorice
"Nicky, can you move over?" Sara said giving him a sweet smile.
"No. Go find yourself another chair," he said without looking up.
"Nicky, please, pretty please?"
Nick looked up seeing Sara standing in front of him. He could never refuse her anything, but he wasn't going to give in so easily.
"You can sit here," he said slapping his leg. He didn't expect her to take him up on his offer, so he was surprised when she collapsed on his lap, but he still wasn't going to move over. He continued reading his forensics magazine.
"What ya reading?" Sara said trying to catch a glimpse of the article he was so engrossed in.
"Some article about liquorice and high blood pressure. There is this substance in liquorice called glycerrhytinic acid which blocks the enzyme which causes the conversion of cortisol into corticosterone. Cortisol has a high affinity for mineralocorticoid receptors, so a high concentration of cortisol leads to release of aldosterone by the adrenals, which causes an increase in blood pressure." Nick answered smiling slyly.
"And that's interesting because....."
"Well, since you, missy, ate my whole box of liquorice yesterday I just wanted to know what kind adverse effects could be expected."
"You're so not funny," Sara said reaching down to her pocket. "By the way I didn't eat all of your liquorice," she said pulling a leftover piece from her pocket and popping it into her mouth.
"Hey, you have to share that!" Nick said trying to get his hand into the pocket of her jeans.
"That was the last piece I had," Sara said squirming to get out of Nick's grasp. Their movements were too much for the chair and it fell back causing Nick to land on top of Sara. Before she could push him off, Nick leaned his face towards hers and he kissed her. She willingly opened her mouth letting his tongue explore it. He on the other hand knew he had distracted her enough to get the piece of liquorice out of her mouth with his tongue. As soon as he got hold of it, he broke the kiss. Chewing happily on the piece of liquorice ignoring Sara's glare.
A sound coming from the direction of the doorway made them look up. In the doorway they saw the rest of the team. Two of them looking very amused, one looking, well, not very amused.
"Do you care to explain what is happening here?" Grissom asked looking down on them since they were still on the break room floor.
"Well, Nick here was trying to keep me from getting hypertension," Sara mumbled trying to avoid the stares directed at her.
The rest of the shift Sara hid in her office trying to overcome the earlier embarrassment.
When she entered the locker room she saw a small package in front of her locker. Reading the note she smiled: "Catherine gave me these to give to you. She said we have to share!" Opening the package she saw liquorice flavored edible underwear. "Oh yeah, this they would share," she thought.
