"This won't hurt a bit."
Chris growled. "I've shot men for lesser lies." His words came out sounding funny for the medicine was beginning to set in. He knew it would never actually dull the pain. His green eyes flashed furiously as the dentist lifted the drill.
"Open up, Mister Larabee. The rest of your team's waiting."
Chris opened his mouth reluctantly, his eyes telling the dentist just where he'd like to put him. He'd never hated working for the government more! Yet, as leader, he had to set an example. Too bad it couldn't be done by shooting the dentist!
