Burning Chaos
"Jean, you've got to stop!"
His voice was unheard, lost in the vortex of chaos descending around the school. Flames engulfed the building and students nearby. He had to push a student out of his way as he rushed towards the cause of the madness.
"Jean! You've got to get a hold of yourself!"
Slowly she turned to look at him, her eyes red with power. The playful smirk on her lips unnerved him in a way nothing else could. "C'mon darlin'…" He reasoned gentlt, lowering his voice and holding out his large hands. "Come here…"
"I don't want too…" She muttered weakly.
"Jeannie…c'mere.."
"I don't want to." She growled, throwing him back with her mind. He collided with a tree roughly, a sick cracking sound filling his ears. The pain was rough and real, and he felt sticky blood run down the back of his head and down his hairy neck. His vision blurred and he could only make out the flaming goddess before he lost consciousness.
'Watch it all burn down…'
Jean levitated into the air, her feet dangling uselessly. Her blood red hair blew about her majestically as her clothes gave way to the red and gold costume of the Dark Phoenix.
Raising her hand she watched the ground explode into a blazing inferno and she chuckled darkly.
"Burn."
